Hey everyone! I know this post is later than expected, but I figured I might as well include my thoughts on the midseason finale episodes of B99, as the show is going on hiatus. Also, I'm announcing that I'm going on indefinite hiatus as well. As Gina (who has finally returned!!!!) says, juggling things is hard, so you won't be seeing me for a while.
With that being said, let's get into what we've missed!
like the title implies, this is a blog created out of frustration about the poor state of the shows i watch. i continue to watch because i don't love myself.

The Flash S4 Recap: Episodes 1-3
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Hey everyone! As I said previously, I'll be dividing and conquering the shows that I watch, and this week, we're talking everything The Flash. Also, a personal sidenote that you all probably don't care about, but I will waste your time talking about anyway: this blog's one year anniversary was this past Sunday! Looking back, I've grown a lot over the past the year, as a person and my taste in shows. My very first review was of a show I no longer watch - no regrets about that, honestly - and my review style has changed tremendously. However, the salt remains. Let's get into it!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Jake & Rosa's Prison Ordeals + Halloween!
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Hey everyone! Before I get into this recap + thoughts, I have an announcement to make: I've decided to structure my blog by reviewing one show per week, because so many of my shows have premiered already and I don't possibly have the time to do episode by episode thoughts like last year. This means that for whatever show I review that week, I will recap all the episodes that have aired by then, and first up is my newest comfort show, Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
After binge watching B99 over the summer, I eagerly awaited the premiere of its fifth season, and it didn't disappoint. Let's get into it!

The Bold Type Rest of Season 1: Thoughts
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Hey everyone! The impending 2017-2018 TV seasonand the time to make some serious decisions about which shows I should prioritize is nearly here, so here are my thoughts on the rest of season 1 of The Bold Type before the storm begins!
A lot has happened since we last left off, from Jane getting sued by a stripper to Kat and Adena dealing with some serious immigration issues to Sutton briefly hooking up with Alex. It's been a wild ride for the Scarlet Trio, so let's get into it.

Shadowhunters 2B: Thoughts + Brief Recap
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Can I first just say, freaking FINALLY?!?!?! After over half a year of tears, angst, pain and joy, Shadowhunters season 2, at long last, has come to an end. Valentine has finally been vanquished [cue 'the evil is defeated' meme], and the season, for the most part, comes to a close on a positive note, and I can't wait to start talking about it.

Spider-Man: Homecoming: Why I Love It So Much
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Welcome to my second movie review ever! I can't believe Spider-Man: Homecoming has already been out for a month, and it is one of my favorite Marvel movies ever. It did so many things right, such as casting people of color as the supporting characters, and casting an actual age-appropriate Spider-Man. Let's get into it!

MUST WATCH!!!: The Bold Type +Brief Recap of First Four Episodes
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Summer vacation is passing by quicker than ever. With SDCC 2017 and the Shadowhunters 2B premiere already behind us (what?!?!) comes the inevitable binge watch of new shows. One new summer show in particular has caught my eye, and it just so happens to air on the same network as another show I have previously raved about on here.

Pitch and The Get Down: Stop Cancelling, Start Watching
Hey guys! Long time no see! I know I said I would be writing more during summer, but unfortunately, I haven't gotten a chance to sit down and do just that, so today I'll be talking about something I've wanted to talk about for a while.
I'm sure you've all heard the news - after only one season at Fox, Pitch is no more. Fans had been waiting for months for potential news of a renewal, only to be let down by Fox, because they're Fox. The same goes with Netflix's The Get Down - set in the late 70s, the drama followed the rise of disco and R&B in the poor parts of the Bronx. (I've always wanted to review The Get Down on here as a separate entity, but alas, the show got cancelled before I could.) Both shows ended ambiguously, and both shows, despite having excellent writing and cast chemistry, were cancelled before their time. Something else they had in common? Both featured casts that contained mostly actors of color.

Arrow Season 5B Recap! +Season 6 Wishes
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Hey guys!! Withhellhole junior year finally behind me, I'll have more time to get to you all the thoughts and reviews I've been wanting to write. First Movie Review!: Saban's Power Rangers (2017)
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Hey everyone! Hopefully with AP exams behind me, I'll have time to start these reviews again. However, I don't think I'll be doing episode by episode reviews consistently - they take a long time to write, and depending on how the episode was, I might not be in the right mood to write it. Though it may look like that I love ranting, it actually takes a lot of energy out of me, and even can negatively affect my health. This doesn't mean I'll never do them again - I'll write recaps for particularly memorable episodes, such as Arrow's season 5 episode 20, so watch out for that.
So, I've decided to expand on my blog and do general season recaps, such as my Shadowhunters ones, me talking more about my opinions than what actually happened in the episode, and, as the title of this post indicates, movie reviews! I'm extremely excited to cover Power Rangers as my first movie review, and apologize for it being very late.

Shadowhunters Season 2A Recap Part 1: Episodes 3-6
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Hey everyone! So....it's been a very, VERY, long time since I've posted anything. Since I clearly got behind on reviews, I've decided to do a recap of my thoughts and opinions on the rest of Shadowhunters season 2A.
To start off, I want to say that the first half of Shadowhunters season 2 did not turn out as expected. When the writers nailed storylines and scenes, they really nailed it. Conversely, when something didn't work, it really didn't work. Nevertheless, the show never fails to stir up my emotions, and I've got a lot of them, so let's get started.
