Arrow, 5.09 - "What We Leave Behind"
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
You know how I said I would probably be disgruntled with Arrow again after the crossover episode? Well, I was. Why do all my faves have to let me down??

Arrow, 5.08 - "Invasion! (3)"
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Alright, alright. I know I'm writing the episodes out of order, but I just HAVE to start my CW DCTV crossover reviews with the best episode of the week. Arrow's portion of the big alien drama also happened to be the show's 100th episode, and I'm so ready to talk about it.

Arrow, 5.07 - "Vigilante"
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
So far this season, the odd episodes of Arrow have tended to be slightly better than their even counterparts. So compared to the disaster that was season 5, episode 6, episode 7 was much better. But even then, it still isn't that much better, so let's get into it.

Arrow, 5.06 - "So It Begins"
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Hey everyone! I apologize for not keeping up, A LOT has happened this week and I'm still trying to process and figure out what's going to happen in the future. I've watched the latest Supergirl episode and will be writing a review, forgive me - I just didn't want three Supergirl posts in a row. I have yet to watch Jane the Virgin or last week's episode of The Flash, but bear with me - I will try to post them all soon. So, you'll just have to settle with this week's episode of Arrow. Let's get started!

Arrow, 5.05 - "Human Target"
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Hey everyone! I'm back and better than ev- no, I'm really not. Arrow continues its season 5 streak of making me sad after I watch, but like the little blurb of this blog states, I continue to suffer through because I am too invested in these characters, particularly Arrow's, to back out now.
I'm saddened to admit it, but the Arrow writers have lost the ability to properly write characters. They keep introducing underdeveloped character after underdeveloped character, and nobody ends up being written well, not even the core three that the majority of the audience stayed for. They don't understand anyone's motivations and personalities anymore, and it's just saddening. It's a disservice to both the old and new characters, many of whom are WOC, something that Arrow severely lacks. I want to love them, but I have to wonder how fast they will be overtaken by bad writing. At this rate, I bet I could write a better season 5 than these supposedly professional writers.

Arrow, 5.04 - "Penance"
Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.
Sorry for the late review everyone! Thursdays are my busiest days and though I actually watched the episode on Wednesday, I didn't get time to put together my thoughts until now. But I have a confession to make....I actually put this off for a little longer than usual, even when I got home and had time to write.
Arrow is different from all the other shows that have been featured on this blog so far. Supergirl and The Flash wouldn't even be here without the success of Arrow. It has been my favorite show ever since I stumbled upon some Olicity gifs on a Tumblr blog in 2014 - at around the time the first half of season 3 was airing. Having no context, I thought the interactions between Oliver and Felicity were adorable, and I was mildly intrigued. So during my freshman year midterms (aka the most inconvenient time ever) and Arrow hiatus, I started binge watching the show. And I was hooked. I immediately liked all the characters and though I knew Oliver and Felicity wouldn't get together until season 3, I shipped them almost instantly even in season 1. And by the end of the season 3, I thought they were solid, and would never be apart. They had driven off into the sunset and gotten their happy ending - finally.
