The Flash S4 Recap: Episodes 1-3

Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.

Hey everyone! As I said previously, I'll be dividing and conquering the shows that I watch, and this week, we're talking everything The Flash. Also, a personal sidenote that you all probably don't care about, but I will waste your time talking about anyway: this blog's one year anniversary was this past Sunday! Looking back, I've grown a lot over the past the year, as a person and my taste in shows. My very first review was of a show I no longer watch - no regrets about that, honestly - and my review style has changed tremendously. However, the salt remains. Let's get into it!

The Flash, 3.09 - "The Present"

Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.

Since I'm on break, I'm finally starting up again with the reviews. I only recently got to watch The Flash's wild midseason finale, so let's get into it.

The Flash, 3.07 - "Killer Frost"

Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.

“Like you helped your mother? Or Wally? Or me? You keep messing with everyone’s lives, wrecking everything, and we’re left behind to pick up the pieces from your mistakes. Some things you break can’t be put back together.” -Killer Frost

I had to start off with this quote this week because it is truly iconic. The Flash writers finally acknowledge the elephant in the room, which is how Barry's selfishness makes him a unique kind of villain, and I'm so excited to talk about it.

The Flash, 3.06 - "Shade"

Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.

As Thanksgiving break approaches, I finally have some free time on my hands to catch up on my shows. I finally got to watch the most recent Flash episode 6 days late, and a lot happened.

The Flash, 3.05 - "Monster"

Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.

Hi everyone! I finally got around to watching that Flash episode I missed. Supergirl will hopefully be up by tomorrow, as well as Pitch, so let's just get right into it.

The fact that I didn't watch the episode (over a week old) until now is probably a good indication of my interest level for this show. However, since I was feeling frustrated and upset with Arrow (the same way I felt about season 2 of Flash, ironically) I decided to finally watch it.

The Flash, 3.04 - "The New Rogues"

Warning: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED.

Wednesdays are always my day to watch The Flash (and rant about it) and there's a lot to talk about this week. If you know me in real life and/or follow me on Tumblr, you should know I have a love-hate (mostly hate) relationship with the show. I genuinely enjoyed season 1, hated most of season 2, and....am neutral about season 3 so far. Season 2 got to the point where I was truly suffering episode after episode for my queen Iris West, and my sons Cisco Ramon and Wally West. I'm still deeply unhappy with Barry's decision to go back in time and save his mother in the season 2 finale, considering he had done that in season 1 and made the right decision to change his mind. This resulted in a complete f*ck-up of the timeline. I hate how it affects the other DCTV shows - namely, Arrow - and how selfish and hypocritical the decision was. To this day, I still believe DCTV Barry Allen is the epitome of character assassination. However, this week he wasn't too bad, and that's because the people he surrounds himself with are the best part of him. Specifically, Iris. But I'll get to that later.
